Sure is purty. If this is the room you're thinking of painting blue, I say go for it. Would look really nice with the tile. Very pale blue, on the grayish side. That's my 2 cents.

Greg - sorry to post a random comment on an older post. But do you have additional pics of your fireplace? We are moving into a 1907 foursquare with a fireplace that may have been coal burning. It has metal sides within the firebox and what looks to be a (now cemented over) ash outlet in the floor of the firebox. And did get info on what covers were originally used for these fireplaces? Thank you.
